Google and Facebook in talks with Twitter. This, according to the Wall Street Journal, which also questions the $10 billion value of Twitter with only 12% of Internet users when Facebook has 62% of Internet users and is valued at $50 billion.
Regardless of the monetary value of Twitter, this social media site is a valuable resource to all who utilize it. Although, the fact that it was only launched in 2006 and is now sporting a price tag in the billions should be a wake up call to those who have regarded Twitter as nothing more than an annoying tweet.
Twitter was launched 3 years after Linkedin and 2 years after Facebook but there is no question that it is one of the top three social media sites.
