Remembering

November 11, 2010 by Martin Buckland Leave a Comment

Managing an executive career is a full time job and if you are in career transition, your job search is a full time job. At times it can become overwhelming and discouraging as it seems that every ounce of determination and confidence is needed to keep moving forward. We will always be faced with some adversity in our lives but there are times that we may become all too consumed losing sight of the world around us and forget that no struggle will ever compare to that which was endured by those who fought in our wars.

If there is one day of the year that truly puts everything in perspective, it is Remembrance Day. A day to be thankful for all of the choices we are free to make and appreciate those who fought to give us that freedom. Today is November 11th and “lest we forget” will continue to be a day for generations to come to remember the many family members, friends and strangers who were willing to sacrifice their lives for the life we have today.

It is unimaginable to think of where we could be today without those who fought for us and our country, so we just remember, and be oh so thankful on this day, Remembrance Day, Veteran’s Day.
